Our technology is one of the things that make our offering unique. 3Line has the capability for back-end management of smart cards using a multi-application, multi-channel electronic and mobile payment platform. 

Our Card Management System (CMS) is Euro, MasterCard and Visa (EMV2) Compliant working on Java based technology with an end-to-end solution that allows financial and non financial institutions to offer a variety of eServices on our card platform. 

The Freedom Card® scheme meets all standard regulatory requirements such as Know-Your-Customer (KYC) guidelines, compliance with all local and international financial transaction regulations and compliance with best practice risk and security management frameworks. We use highly secure infrastructure across all service channels and have an open architecture that is interoperable with existing infrastructure in Nigeria.

The main stay of this technology lies in the ‘hybrid’ nature of our 72k smart cards which feature both an integrated circuit or a ‘chip’ and a magstripe portion giving it its dual functionality for both offline and online use. 

Card Management System

Freedom Card Management System (FCMS)
The Freedom Card Management System manages the card life cycle and the system security. It maintains data vital to the definition of the authorization process of POS (point of sale terminal), ATM, Internet, Mobile and other payment and loyalty transactions.

Main Processing system

Freedom Main Processing (FMP)
Freedom Main Processing is the system responsible for the processing of all financial transactions, posting, updating of accounts' balances according to product parameters and producing the data for general ledger.

Freedom Loyalty (FL)
This is the back office system for managing loyalty schemes. It provides:
•  Card database
•  Card application processing
•  Card production preparation
•  Balance and limit management
