What is Freedom card and what is it used for?

Freedom card is a multipurpose smart card. It is a secure and convenient means of making payment and transacting business. It can be used to withdraw cash from an ATM and purchase goods from a shop or market where a POS (point of sales terminal) is available.

  

I already have a card I use for payments. What is different about this one?

Freedom card is secure, it is ‘Chip and PIN based’, the chip authenticates the device which it reads (this means your card details cannot be duplicated) and the PIN ensures that you alone have access so your money is safe and secure. It is more secure than most cards available today which only magnetic stripe.

Freedom card offers you multiple accesses to payment options. This means you can either pay from your bank account (banked card) your online account and your offline account. The offline account allows you to make payments even when the communication link is down. 
Freedom card meets the international EMV (EuroPay, MasterCard, and Visa) standard which is world’s benchmarked requirement for payment cards.

  

Where can I get a Freedom Card?

A Freedom Card can be purchased from banks and authorized merchant outlets (look our for the Freedom card sticker) as may be specified from time to time. List of places where a Freedom Card can be obtained are available on our website.

  

Does the Freedom card expire?

Your freedom card is valid for two years from time of issue.

  

There is probably no freedom card, NSL, Vpay/VISA acceptance sign so our cards may not be accepted there. Names of banks and outlets that our cards are accepted are available on our website. Agent can also provide customer with information.
