3Line Card Management Ltd, owners of the Freedom Card brand have announced the introduction of their latest product; the Freedom Gift Card.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the Managing Director of 3Line Card Management Ltd, stated that Freedom Gift Card is a customizable payment card that can be given in place of any other traditional gift item, the card therefore allows the recipient in this case to choose what he wants as a gift as against any other gift that may not appeal to him.

The freedom gift card is therefore set to eradicate the Gift Choice Dilemma on the part of the giver, while giving the recipient the Freedom to choose an ideal gift.
He explained that the freedom gift cards can be redeemed at any retail outlet where Interswitch debit cards are accepted, and noted that ‘this card is innovative because it is the ideal incentive for your customers, employees, business partners, and survey respondents... anyone you want to motivate, reward, or show your appreciation to’

He identified some of its partners as being instrumental to the successful launch of the product, one of such was Skye bank, the partner bank on the project; saying that the choice of Skye bank was based on the clear appreciation and understanding of the business by Skye bank and their experience in the electronic payment sphere. He also appreciated the management of the Palms for partnering with 3Line on the project, saying that this is the marrying of strong and promising brands.
He described the partnership with the Palms as a strategic one, as it is unarguably one of the biggest shopping mall in the country and Freedom Gift Cards will be sold and accepted for purchases at various shops at the mall, this partnership will afford customers easy access to purchase these cards and even more outlet options to use the cards to buy whatever they desire; from groceries to household appliances, adding that the partnership will also allow holders of the Freedom gift card to enjoy special discounts at various shops at the Palms.
He acknowledged that though there are a few gift vouchers, the Freedom gift card is unique in many ways and brings a lot of value added benefits to the receiver such as:
• It can be used at any outlet with Interswitch enabled POS machine
• Discount at selected outlets
• Reloaded funds
• The receiver truly has freedom of choice of gift

In addition buyers and receivers automatically qualify for a raffle draw by texting the 19 digit PAN on their card to a short code. The star prize for the raffle draw is a 2008 Toyota Avanza, with lap tops and mobile phones as consolation prizes.
